We stock all of your favorite premium laundry detergents and fabric softeners in a vending machine at the rear of the store. If we don’t have your preferred brand, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

At the register, you can purchase our official Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. laundry bags in two sizes, small & large. They are made of quality polyester and durable enclosures keep your freshly washed garments clean during transport.

We will also stock Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. t-shirts, sweatshirts, knit hats, baseball caps and coffee mugs. A stylish way to go about your day... Stay tuned for updates!

Stop carrying around all those quarters. At Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. all of the washing machines in our laundromat operate with a laundry card system for your convenience. There are two card machines located directly to the left of the dryer wall. The machines accept cash, and you can process credit cards at the register.

How It Works

​

Purchasing credit for your card is easy. Simply insert your money into the card machine and select the amount you would like to add to the card.

​

Any unused funds will remain on your laundry card for your next visit.  If you misplace or lose your card, no worries! Your current balance will always be in our system and updated on a replacement card.

​

When you’re ready to dry your garments, just ask an attendant on duty.  They will assess the garment types and load weight and input the required dry time.

Using the system, after just one visit to our laundromat, you will have access to your purchase history. This is a very convenient way to track your spending and budget accordingly.

Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. has a robust loyalty program. The more often you do your laundry with us, the more money you save. Rather than hand out punch cards which may just get lost in your purse or wallet, the laundry card doubles as a loyalty card, tracking your balances and rewarding you with discounts and credits.

Timing matters. In addition to our loyalty program, we also offer discount rates for off-peak days and hours. The card system automatically adjusts the price according to the time and day you do your wash.

When entering our laundromat you’ll find a service counter on the left side.  An attendant will be on hand to answer any of your questions. If they have stepped away, simply alert them by ringing the bell at the desk.

A digital monitor is mounted behind the register with a menu of our services in English and Spanish. We run frequent promotions which you will see displayed here as well. This is a great way for you to keep on top of money savers while in the store or for you next visit.

Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. is a highly secure laundromat, outfitted with top-of-the-line security cameras throughout the premises. These cameras record 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and all footage is backed up to our cloud-based server. The video quality is high definition, with no distortion even at the highest level of zoom capability.  

Additionally, our security system’s communication with the authorities is constant. Any disturbances or suspicious activity prompts an immediate response from the local police precinct.

On a monitor located in the laundromat you are able to observe a live stream of the camera surveillance throughout the store.

Our number one priority at Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. is to be of service to our customers. Although the main objective for each customer is to walk away with freshly laundered garments, not everyone’s criteria are exactly the same. It’s the diverse and valuable experience of our staff that helps meet the unique needs of each customer.

All of our attendants have been trained as laundry technicians. Keeping up to date with the latest garment care practices and having a thorough grasp of machinery upgrades are key to staying on top of the technical aspects of the work.

It’s not just technical knowledge that matters in hiring our attendants. The experience of having worked in laundromats is also invaluable to our success. A knowledgeable attendant knows how to, during peak hours, best circulate the flow of customer machine usage, from washers to dryers, to keep things moving efficiently and save our customers’ time. A seasoned employee might help to mitigate a potential conflict, carefully emptying out a washing machine for an absent customer before the next customer does it for them. A diligent worker can spot a detergent spill and clean it up before a customer can slip on it.

The relationships our team has with our customers is paramount. If you are a new customer just moving into the neighborhood, we’d love to not just show you what we have to offer at our facility but would enthusiastically offer some tips on the closest subway stop, the best place to get a cup of coffee, or where to buy organic vegetables. For most of us, doing our laundry is a necessary chore. At Rattle & Hum Laundry Co., we want to make the task less burdensome, the environment more pleasant, and the experience of interacting with our team, a total joy!

Every customer who uses our washing machines gets complimentary dryer time. Not all fabrics are made equal. Some materials require a longer, air-tumble cycle to avoid shrinkage, while others do just fine at a hot temperature which is much quicker. An attendant on hand will be happy to help you make the right selection.

If you find yourself outside on the phone or waiting for a ride, no reason to get caught in the rain. To protect our customers from the elements, we have a secure awning covered in heavy-duty, waterproof Sunbrella fabric.

The double-door entry provides ample room to take your full laundry bags and carts in and out of the store, with plenty of room for other customers to fit through. Flanking the doors on each side are two planter boxes with evergreen shrubs and seasonal plantings to brighten your day.

All of the washing machines and dryers at Rattle & Hum Laundry Co. are from Dexter Laundry, the gold standard in the laundry industry. Each model, made in the U.S.A., has been engineered and rigorously tested for speed, efficiency, and reliability.

No need to go thirsty while waiting for your wash cycle to finish.  We have many popular sodas, juices, and healthy drinks in the vending machine, located at the front of the store.
